1. Who we are
Agent Referrals (“AgentReferrals,” “we,” “us” or “our”) operates https://join.agentreferrals.org (the “Site”), a professional referral network for licensed real estate agents. This policy applies to the Site, our email list, our website chat, and the AgentReferrals SMS program.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email sign-up: your email address when you join our early access list.
- Website chat: your name, email address, mobile phone number and the messages you send us through the chat widget on the Site.
- SMS consent records: whether you opted in to text messages, the consent wording shown to you, the date and time, and the page where you opted in, as well as your opt-out and help requests.
- Support communications: anything you send us by email, chat or text.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site we receive basic technical information such as browser and device type, pages viewed, the referring page, and campaign parameters in the page address (for example, “utm_source”). We use this to understand how visitors find and use the Site.
3. How we use information
- To send the emails you asked for, such as launch news and member access updates.
- To reply to your chat inquiries and provide support.
- To send the text messages you opted in to, as described in Section 4.
- To keep accurate records of your consent and opt-out choices and to honor them.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. Text messaging (SMS)
Agent Referrals operates the AgentReferrals SMS program for licensed real estate agents who opt in through the chat widget on the Site. Depending on the boxes you check, messages include replies to your chat inquiry, early access and membership updates, account notifications, notices that a referral request is ready to review in your account, and support follow-ups. Only if you separately opt in to marketing messages will you also receive occasional messages about new network features, events and membership offers.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for help. You can also email [email protected]. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of joining our list, membership, or any purchase. Full program terms are in our Terms and Conditions (https://join.agentreferrals.org/terms).
5. SMS data protection
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use your mobile number and SMS consent only to send the AgentReferrals messages you agreed to receive and to keep records of your choices.
6. How information is shared
We share information only in the limited situations below.
Service providers
We use service providers that help us host the Site, deliver email and text messages, run our customer communications platform, and provide support. They may access information only to perform those services for us and must protect it. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Referral details between member agents
When member access opens and a member agent chooses to send a referral request through AgentReferrals, the referral details that member enters are made available to the receiving member agent so the referral can be completed. This never includes any member's mobile number collected for text messaging, SMS opt-in data, or consent records. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Legal requirements and business changes
We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Site. If Agent Referrals is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. No sale of personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
8. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. We keep records of SMS consent and opt-out requests for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with messaging laws and carrier rules, and for at least six months after you opt out. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your information. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please contact us right away if you suspect misuse.
10. Your choices and rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You can also opt out by emailing us or telling us in chat.
- Email: click the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
- Access, correction and deletion: email [email protected] to request a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your request, and we may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as opt-out records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor eligible requests under applicable law.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-friendly website analytics to count page views and sign-ups. The website chat widget may use browser storage to keep your conversation open. You can clear or block browser storage in your browser settings, although some features, like chat, may not work without it.
12. Children
The Site and the AgentReferrals SMS program are intended for adults and licensed real estate professionals. You must be 18 or older to use them. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has given us information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes will not reduce the protections in Section 5 for information collected before the change.
